Welcome to the CCB online community, which we affectionately refer to as the CCB Tribe.
Leveraging the concepts shared by Seth Godin in his 2008 book,
Tribes, This private online community is designed specifically for the CCB Tribe, which now contains over 1,700 churches and ministries in 15 different countries. Its purpose is to better connect you to CCB and to other members of the Tribe.
A Tribe represents any group of people who are connected to an idea, to leadership and to each other. Organizations that use CCB are typically quite passionate about managing their ministries in a very people-driven, community-focused fashion. While CCB may have pioneered this approach to church management, we are not in this alone. If we are to remain on the leading edge of socially-driven church management, we must engage our own community in a proactive and meaningful way. We want to learn from you and we want to facilitate peer-to-peer learning and the sharing of best practices.
What is involved?
Participation in this community is optional but highly encouraged. First, you or your organization must be a current CCB customer or ministry partner. This is not a public forum. Within the community you will find a number of different Groups that we have created in order to better segment and differentiate the kinds of activities and conversations that will occur. If you see a Group that you want to join, simply click the "Request joining this Group" button. We will validate your status and approve your request as soon as possible. After that, all you have to do is log in and start participating in the community discussions, events and other activities.
What is expected?
This community is, first and foremost, a forum for learning and communication. At times, we will be initiating conversations with the goal of soliciting feedback about current and future functionality. At other times, we will ask you to share more strategic thoughts with us about how you do church. Sometimes, we may just send a message to inform you about news and developments at CCB. Most importantly, this community is designed to foster peer-to-peer interaction. Have you ever wondered how other churches are using some aspect of CCB? Are you curious about how similarly sized ministries are dealing with growth? Perhaps you just want to know what churches in your area use CCB. This is the place for those kinds of conversations.
What is NOT expected?
We need you to know this site is not a free-for-all when it comes to every feature idea you may have for us. As you may know, we offer a forum for "feature ideas" within the CCB Help Center. We are constantly analyzing customer feedback on that discussion board, planning functionality we know is needed, as well as monitoring new trends in ministry. We may occasionally survey you on unrelated items, but the right place for ideas about new features is the Help Center.
What's next?
If you do not yet have a login for the CCB Tribe and would like to participate in this community, your next step is to sign up on this site. You can do that by clicking the "Sign Up" link underneath the login box to the right. Once we confirm what church you are with we'll get you a login to this site. Thanks for being a part of the CCB Tribe!
